Blooming Florals In Watercolor

Blooming Florals In Watercolor

This is a demo I recorded back in 2021, in collaboration with Etchr, which is an awesome watercolor supply and education platform. This feels like forever ago, recorded in such a special time, I'm happy I can still paint something happy during that time.

In this demo, we will learn to paint Japanese cherry blossoms. I will show you a wet-on-wet watercolour technique using salt and rubbing alcohol. You’ll also hear tips on painting backgrounds with wet-on-wet designs.

Topics Covered:

  • Using salt and saltwater
  • Using rubbing alcohol
  • Using wet or dry brushes

In the 90-minute demo, I will teach:

  • Painting realistic florals
  • Painting transparency

If you are interested in more of ways to utilize technique I shared in the demo, you can enroll in my Mini Workshop (Enroll in our US$6.00 Mini Workshops), which is also in collaboration with Etchr.
