This is a demo I recorded back in 2021, in collaboration with Etchr, which is an awesome watercolor supply and education platform. This feels like forever ago, recorded in such a special time, I'm happy I can still paint something happy during that time.
In this demo, we will learn to paint Japanese cherry blossoms. I will show you a wet-on-wet watercolour technique using salt and rubbing alcohol. You’ll also hear tips on painting backgrounds with wet-on-wet designs.

]]>This is a painting I did back in 2019, which is the second year since I started watercolor. I was fascinated by how versatile and playful watercolor is. How many materials you can play with watercolor. I played with alcohol with watercolor in this one, and it turned out amazing. This is my exploration then to try to understand the beauty of jellyfish. They have a very abstract type of beauty, which I think may help channel some abstraction into my work. So welcome to my experimentations, if you like this video or have a question, leave a comment or subscribe to my newsletter so you don't miss new content! Otherwise, let's dive into the process.
